The Voice for Independents

Every industry has “majors” and “independents,” and the same is true in the entertainment industry. An independent film or TV program is financed primarily from sources outside the six major U.S. studios. Independent product is made at every budget range and is seen side-by-side with major studio releases. As the voice and advocate for independents worldwide, IFTA speaks out on critical matters, including the threat to a competitive marketplace posed by media consolidation and net neutrality, and the need to foster broad-based growth of the industry.
